Capt. Allen Turner (turneral@bellsouth.net)
Please confirm with Allen if you plan to participate, and indicate your preference for either Cedar Key or Suwannee.
The Plan
We will meet in Cedar Key or Suwannee (group choice) and follow Capt. Allen Turner to some of the local sheepshead hotspots. The flotilla will anchor up, and Allen will provide some rigging options and catching techniques.
What to Bring
- Trout or redfish class poles
- Braided line may provide an advantage with the soft sheepshead bite
- Fresh shrimp...fiddler crabs are great, if you can find some
- Slip sinker rigs with a sharp hook, or 1/4-3/8 oz jig heads
We will monitor the weather and will email a preliminary report the Wednesday/Thursday before the learnament. If needed, a cancellation email will be sent the Friday afternoon before the Saturday learnament.
